The Google Cloud Identity Admin Console contains several important features:

DIRECTORY: This enables Multi-Cloud Integration and user management across cloud platforms, both online and offline.

AZURE ACTIVE DIRECTORY: This manages users online through Microsoft Entra ID.

ACTIVE DIRECTORY: This is an in-house Windows server used for internal processes. To synchronize Azure Active Directory (online) with Active Directory (offline), you'll need to use VPN.

DEVICES: You can link device IP addresses for GCP account access. This restricts access to only linked devices. Endpoint management allows you to add company-owned devices that can access the GCP account.

APPS: This allows you to use various apps offered by Google and third-party providers.

HOW TO ACTIVATE YOUR BUSINESS EMAIL THROUGH GMAIL

Click on Google Workspace, then Service Status. Click "Add Services" in the top right to view Google Workspace packages with different pricing options. Choose the package that suits your business needs, then add your billing details and company address (which can be the same as your billing address). Your access will be granted once the purchase is approved.

In your subscription, you'll see Google Workspace and a prompt to assign licenses. Click this to access the user list where you can assign email services to users.

Simply select the desired user, click "assign licenses," and assign Google Workspace to them. Once assigned, Gmail will appear as an available app in your Cloud Identity.

The assigned license allows you to send email, but receiving email requires additional setup.

On the home page, you'll see a notice to set up your MX Record for incoming messages to reach Google's mail server. Click this to view the values.

GOOGLE MX RECORD

NAME: Blank

PRIORITY: 1

VALUE: SMTP-GOOGLE-COM

Copy the MX Record and add it to your domain name host account. Click on Advanced DNS, scroll to mail settings, and select custom MX record. Paste the values and save.

After updating your domain name account, return to Cloud Identity and confirm the changes. When you see the "getting ready" page, setup is complete, and you can now receive email at your organizational email address.
